Day 4 of Walking Thru the Word

Today's segments were Gen. 9-11, Psalms 4, Matt. 2:13-23, and Acts 2:22-47

Gen. 9: Noahic Covenant
Gen. 10: Noah's line
Gen. 11: v.5 "But the Lord came down" I love the imagery of that! I wander if they could hear that what did it sound like? What will it sound like when the Lord comes in all of His glory to get us? Why did He come down? Because back in 9:1 God told them to "Be fruitful, increase in number, and fill the earth." They decided they liked all being together so God came down to do what He had already told them to do......SCATTER.

Ps. 4: v.8 "I will lay down and sleep in peace, for you alone O Lord make me dwell in safety."

Matt. 2:13-23: Two different prophesy are fulfilled in this section....the first was that Christ would be called out of Egypt (Hos. 11:1) and the 2nd is "He will be called a Nazarene."

Acts. 2:22-47: v.23 "Jesus was handed over by God's set purpose and foreknowledge...."
That is a big verse to mull over!
v.36 "Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified both Lord and Christ." Praise you Lord that you indeed are BOTH Lord and Christ!
